I am, therefore I must think...
The purpose of this blog is similar to many blogs out there: to spread ideas. Particularly my ideas. I consider myself a rational, active minded person. I love the discussion of ideas but if you use any logical fallacies, prepare to be called out on them. I am interested in individual liberty and the philosophies involved with liberty. I refuse to label myself as this type of philosopher or that, because I think broad labels lead to dogmatism and regression of ideas. Respect begets respect, so keep that in mind when commenting.
Please feel free to browse through my public posts to get a feel for who I am and what I think. If you are not a member, I have just recently made it so you can comment on my public posts, however the comment will first need to be approved by me, so please be patient. If you wish to view the rest of my writings (70% of this blog is only viewable to members) please register or login. If you like what I have to say, be sure to subscribe to my RSS feed as well:

I created a new sub-category called net neutrality since I have been writting so much about this issue. If you have a look around the Internet you will quickly find that most articles on this subject tout that net neutrality is all about “Internet Freedom”. As you have all heard me rant about in the past, it is anything but freedom. Net neutrality sets a precendent for Internet regulation by the government. Net neutrality is nothing but a bandaid that will stiffle competition and degrade the quality of service of our Internet connections in the long run. I will continue to debate this subject from the TRUE libertarian point of view until articles like mine are recognized among the other “Internet freedom” articles. If you are not informed on the other side of this issue I suggest you start with the following links:
- ARI Response to Net Neutrality
- My funny little satirical propaganda piece on YTMND
- Dominique’s Critique on Internet politics
- My Original Net Neutrality Post
- Google’s Twist (and it really is a twist; on “freedom”)
Basically my view boils down to this: I am against government regulation when government regulation is not needed (which is pretty much always). Net neutrality is propaganda that should not be taken lightly. The Internet truly is one of the best things to happen to free speech. Taking freedom away from corporations and giving it to the government just allows the government to put its foot in the door to true Internet freedom. I am most saddened by Google’s stance on it. Apparently they are OK with using coercion to compete. Don’t be evil, eh Google?
If you haven’t already noticed, I am revamping the website. I got tired of dealing with my crappy code and installed WordPress to run the backend of my site. Soon you won’t even be able to tell that this is a WordPress site, because I plan on customizing the template until it suits my needs. I have re-installed the non-member RSS feed, and will soon install the member RSS. If you receieved the e-mail on how to login, you should be able to see the “MEMBERS ONLY” post below. If you can not, please e-mail me.
Here is my to-do list for this site:
Mess with the layout (this is almost the final product… I will tweak more over time)
Add member-only RSS feed (feed in MEMBER ONLY post below)
- Re-install all of the pages
- member profile page
contact page
- links
Install Google Ads, AmericanFlags.com ads (hopefully I can figure out how to hide these for members)
List the featured posts (See sidebar. Ranked by views+comments+links+other crap)
- Add links
Blogs
- MAF’s Picks
auto-Registration form (if you want to signup, click Register on the side menu)
- Better membership profiles
User pics/avatars. (See post below for instructions)
Add a news feed (NEW) (see MAF’s Feeds and links on the right menu bar)
- Add my DeviantART artwork (NEW)
- Promote the site
- Did I forget anything?? Please comment if I did, or if you have any suggestions for features
Hope you all enjoy the new site. This will make it 10 times easier for me to make new posts and moderate.

Nothing.
They both want to take your freedom, in order to force their "morality" on you and your business. They both derive their power from you giving up yours.
Republicans (Neocons, right-wingers, GOP, Facists) want to take your:
- Freedom of speech
- Freedom of the press
- Freedom to do what you want with your own body
- Drugs
- Sex
- Life
- Freedom of religion (or non-religion in the case of us agnostics/atheists/etc)
Democrats (Libs, Leftists, Socialists, Reds, Commies) want to take your:
- Freedom of business
- Freedom of the press
- Freedom to protect yourself and your family
- Freedom of religion (unless you are an atheist-commie, fruit-loop spiritualist or Palestinian terrorist)
…let me know if I left anything out.
Both want to take your freedom, because they share one common feeling about you: you can not be trusted to make the best of your freedom. Both of these sides are nothing but misanthropists.
Libertarians (Objectivists, Randroids, Classic Liberals, [Capitalists]) want to take:
- Your freedom to bring harm to others
Now what’s so wrong about that? Is that REALLY a nutty idea?
