Please also note: Your comment may not show up right away if you have not commented before. I moderate first time commenters because I get a lot of spam. Don’t worry, I’ll read your comment and approve it within a week most of the time.

I was originally registered with your website, before the changes, but I haven’t reregistered until now. I found your site through a mixture of Chris Davis and a comment you left me a long time ago on xanga. I later deleted my xanga for the same reasons you did. I’m an indiviualist, a student of Objectivism, and a capitalist. I won’t be so arrogant as to claim that I could be a *great* addition to your site, seeing as I come here for my fix of like minded people. But, I will be *an* addition of sorts. Hope for the add.

I found your site as a connection via some sort of P&T website that I was looking at some time ago…I think it was a comment that you had posted that made me look you up, but I’d never gotten around to registering. I’m a college student of engineering, a libertarian, and an atheist, and my favorite novel is The Fountainhead, though I don’t consider myself an Objectivist. However, I’m still processing philosophies as of now!

Because I am your sister, I think I should have access to your full site. I hold similar views on some of your posts and would like to educate myself on other political and social views. Plus, I love the feelings of uber l33t.

I’m a student of Objectivism. You know me through facebook. I’m considering majoring in philosophy, and I like watching various movies/ TV shows, playing video games, hanging out with friends, and reading philosophy I can actually use, like Objectivism.

Here’s hoping I can get registered this time.

it’s about time i got in on this. but ive always wondered, why do you make so many of your posts private? lots of people use stuff they read on the internet to assist in resolving their conflicted political and/or philosophical views, and personally i often find myself put off by the burden of being required to register in order to participate or even read. generally ive found that the more free the wisdom, the better (unless it’s a handout someone gave you at comfest). you might even reach a larger audience, and i think that’s worthwhile. but i HAVE finally rested on the “for” side of censoring comments. while everyone loves a good laugh from a troll (see youtube), sometimes i prefer to read intelligent, genuine contributions without having to skim through insolent remarks. props to that.

I make many of my posts private because I like to share certain opinions without having to fear backlash/judgment from friends/family/clients/random Internet idiots who don’t understand or agree with my ideas. If I know who is reading my more controversial opinions, it helps me sleep better at night. The other reason is that registration creates a exclusive community-like feel to a website, and registered members are more likely to comment and add to your ideas. The final reason is that I send out occasional e-mails to remind my members that my site exists. Other than the first reason, it’s all about marketing.

I’m reasonably certain I’m already registered on here, but I no longer have my old e-mail address or use my old screen name. Or remember my password for that matter.

hey, i came across you on deviant art, which I joined recently. I’m a objectivist except for the esthetics: I like stuff by people like George Orwell and Douglas Adams. Basically I like anything that’s written well even if it isn’t heroic lit (although I like it too: if it’s done well) . I joined deviant art recently and submitted one deviation: a pro capitalist poster ‘More capitalism, less war’

I would like to be approved membership because I am an Objectivist currently in my freshmen year of college, which I discovered is a breeding ground for relativism. After a day of people arguing that all cultures must be respected equally because they all have their special merits I like to read or listen to something that is logical. I usually read Ayn Rand, presently I am reading Atlas Shrugged; however, it is somewhat difficult to balance Atlas Shrugged with my reading for school. Your blog offers a shorter Objectivist reading I can balance with my school work. Also I started listening to freedomain radio between my morning classes. If you require any more information to decide as to whether approve or deny me membership please let me know.
